Yes, they do because… the forming of a trade union is inevitable wherever there are two groups with different interests. Two GroupsThese two groups are: the EMPLOYER (MoE) and the TEACHERS (NANTU)

NANTU's Main Objectives
To unite all teachers of Namibia into a non-racial and national teachers’ union.
To represent the interest of all teachers in Namibia.
To encourage teachers to be involved in the educational and social
development of the Namibian society.
To promote teachers and their democratic involvement in the educational sector.
To act as the mouthpiece of teachers and to protect their genuine interests.
To foster cooperation with national and international organizations.
To support the principles of democracy and non-racial inclusivity
